Dr. S. Saravana Kumar

Born into a humble middle-class family in Rasipuram, Namakkal District, Dr. Saravana Kumar's journey is one of perseverance, discipline, and purpose-driven leadership. After losing his father in childhood, he was raised by his mother, whose resilience and sacrifices became the foundation of his values. From working in medical shops and local markets during his school days to supporting himself through night shifts during medical college, he learned early that service and hard work are the true pillars of success.

He completed his MBBS and Diploma in Orthopaedics (D.Ortho) at the prestigious Government Stanley Medical College, then trained under eminent orthopaedic mentors, gaining extensive experience in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. In 2007, driven by a vision to make quality orthopaedic care accessible to ordinary people, he founded the first Dr. Kumar's Ortho Clinic in Sembakkam, Chennai. What began as a small day-care centre has grown into a multi-branch healthcare organisation serving thousands of patients across Tamil Nadu, with specialty hospitals, trauma centres, modern operation theatres, and rehabilitation facilities.

Beyond healthcare administration, Dr. Saravana Kumar is respected for his ethical approach to medicine and his conviction that healthcare is a service to humanity first. As Managing Trustee of the Young India Foundation, he leads a social initiative for nation-building — through healthcare awareness, youth empowerment, senior citizen support, disaster volunteering, anti-drug campaigns, and medical crowdfunding for economically challenged patients. A passionate public speaker and social educator, he creates awareness programmes on public health, addiction prevention, mental wellness, and social responsibility.

His long-term vision is to build one of India's most trusted multi-speciality healthcare networks, including a 500-bed centre of excellence that combines advanced medical technology with affordable, humane care. Above all, he believes that true success lies not in personal wealth, but in the number of lives transformed through compassion, leadership, and selfless service.
